We are in the process of booking and organising our Wallaroo Retreat and have decided to take registrations of interest before we finally commit and pay deposits. For this retreat to go ahead we need to have 20 people attending.

We are excited to have this opportunity to go to Wallaroo again for a fantastic weekend and hope you can join us.   If you’d like to attend please complete the registration form and pay a $10 booking fee. Once we have 20 confirmed attendees we will contact you with further details. If we don’t get the required number of 20 we will refund your booking fee.

The following information relates to a 3 day weekend, there is also a 2 day option available, please contact us for pricing details.

Treat yourself to a little luxury with a fabulous weekend of sewing on the beautiful Copper Coast. Imagine waking up by the beach, having a leisurely breakfast on your private verandah before spending the day doing what you love? Tempting isn’t it? 

Join us from Thursday the 18^th to Sunday 21^st November 2010 (3 nights and 3 full days) for a fantastic luxury retreat where you will not have to lift a finger except to sew, sew, sew!

Getting There 

Wallaroo is an easy 2 hour drive from Adelaide, head up Port Wakefield Rd and then onto the Copper Coast Highway. Don’t drive? No problem. We are happy to put you in touch with other retreaters to arrange carpooling. Contact us for details. 

Accommodation 

We will be staying in 4 star self-contained beachside villas in the lovely seaside town of Wallaroo. Choose from either a beach front or pool side villa. The villas all have a private verandah, two bedrooms (1 QS bed, 2 singles – plus another trundle style single), fully equipped kitchen, dining and lounge area, bathroom, toilet and laundry. The villas are set in lovely grounds and there is a heated pool on site.

Catering 

The weekend will be fully catered, including snacks and non-alcoholic drinks, except Saturday night when will go out for a lovely dinner. Please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements – we are more than happy to accommodate you. Beginning on Thursday night with registration and check-in from 3pm followed at 5pm for a Happy Hour, wine will be provided. We will have a poolside dinner taking advantage of the lovely lawned area.

Sewing 

We are still negotiating the venue where we will be sewing but these details will be available before final bookings are taken. (For those that have attended the Wallaroo Retreat previously, we are looking for a suitable air conditioned venue.)

Projects 

Shontelle has come up with a great idea for using your scraps to make various blocks which in turn become a quilt. She has put a lot of thought into this and it will also be cost saving as you can use your stash. The blocks that she has designed will also be available on booking along with fabric requirements.

Don't Quilt?

No problem, we are open to retreaters of all craft denominations - bring along your projects be they knitting, scrapbooking, card making or whatever and enjoy the time to create or just chill out and be pampered.

Optional extras

Depending on the demand will be offering a Sunset Cruise on the Friday night. The 1.5 hour cruise will leave the Wallaroo Marina and take in the Spencer Gulf.    Cost is $60.00.

This is dependent on the type of accommodation you choose and you are welcome to indicate which type you would prefer on the Registration of Interest form.
