Estimating the Cost of Machine Quilting
Remember Quilt Preparation benefits both you, the piecer, and me, the quilter!! If your quilt has been prepared as per the Quilt Preparation Guidelines the only extra fee that incurred would be for thread.
To determine an approximate cost of the machine quilting process you can use the following formula.
For example, a quilt measuring 70 x 70 would be as follows: 70 x 70 = 4900 ÷144 = 34.02 square feet The cost for quilting in a continuous line pattern at $4.00 per foot x 34.02 would cost $136.08. |
